An AI planning copilot for the factory floor.

LinePlan AI connects to SAP PP and the shop floor, then uses Claude to assign production orders to the right machine, explain every decision, and replan in seconds when something breaks.

What it does

AI machine assignment

Orders planned at work-center-group level in SAP PP are assigned to the best machine. Capability rules filter candidates, changeover and cycle times are computed, and Claude makes the call.

Disruption replanning

When a machine goes down or a cycle time changes, affected orders are released and replanned in seconds. A plan diff shows which orders moved and the impact on setup and due dates.

Explainable decisions

Every recommendation comes with its rationale as structured JSON. Planners approve or override it, and the decision log keeps a full audit trail.

Shop-floor data layer

A lightweight MES layer captures machine status, downtime, scrap and quality so the planner always works from real floor conditions.

How it works

  1. Ingest. Open production orders, routings and master data come from SAP; machine status comes from the shop floor.
  2. Filter. A rule engine keeps only machines that can physically run the job.
  3. Score. Changeover time, cycle time and due dates are computed for each candidate.
  4. Decide. Claude picks a machine and returns its reasoning in a structured format.
  5. Approve. The planner accepts or overrides. When a machine goes down, affected orders are replanned and the plan diff is shown.
